hi, wonder if you can help? I work on Word 2008 for mac and when transfer files via usb stick to netbook running OOo 2.3 I have problems returning deited files back into the mac. Is there a compatibility issue here, or am I saving the files wrongly prior to transfer?
your help would be gratefully eceived to stop me blowing my stack !!

The quick issue that I can think of is this:
Mac Word primarily uses .docx format though can read .doc.
OOo.2.3 words primarily with .odf though can read .doc.
Make sure that you are saving the files in .doc in Mac word and then again in OOo 2.3. As for diagrams of any sort I would be careful, as often they get distorted or just don’t transfer. Any deeper problem than that the only thing I can suggest is getting OOo 3 for greater compatibility as OOo designed this to work with 2007/8 versions of Word.
